Inaccuracies while using Wi-Fi
At times while working out in the field, you may have the Wi-Fi connection on your device turned on or you may be using a Wi-Fi hotspot as a connection when using the TreeKeeper system. We strongly discourage using Wi-Fi when out it in the field as this can cause inconsistencies with the locational data being used to track where you are on the map. This is due to a number of reasons including the fact that different devices can rely on different technologies or services to track locational data when using Wi-Fi. Such as using the estimated location of your IP address which, if using a mobile hotspot device, could be anywhere from a few to hundreds of miles away from your actual location.
As such we recommend that when choosing a device to be used for TreeKeeper work out in the field that has access to Cellular Data.
