Overview of New Features / Improvements
Global Edit Privileges are now assigned to a user rather than inherent in user level
Prior to this release, the ability to run global edits in the system was inherent in the administrative level user privilege. Some customers wanted to give “edit” level users the ability to run global edits, but other customers did not want to enable this semi-dangerous ability to the entire “edit” user group. With this release, on a user-by-user and layer-by-layer basis, edit and admin level users can be granted global edit privileges.
Extended automatic log out to trigger after 8 hours of inactivity
Field users that run TK8 for extended periods of time were loading a quick filter, then performing the field work related to the quick filter. During that time, TK8 would log the user out meaning they had to log back in, re-run the quick filter, and re-zoom on the map. Setting the timeout for 8 hours reduces this, but still has a mechanism in place to make sure the user is required to log into the system regularly for login tracking purposes.
