Overview
The Data Transfer Utilities, located in the side toolbar, will allow you to download your inventoried data in Shapefile, Access, or Excel format. It will also allow you to upload data using either Excel or .csv formatted files.

This feature can only be accessed by users having the proper Upload/Download Data permissions configured in their user account. Please contact an Admin in your system if you’d like to request access to this feature. |
Data Downloads
After opening the Data Transfer tool, you can select which type of file you would like. This opens another form where you can select the specific data layer(s) you would like to download.
Downloading a Shapefile or Excel file only allows you to download one layer at a time, which can be started by simply clicking on the layer name.
Downloading an Access file allows you to select multiple layers. To do so, select the layer(s) you want included in the Access download, and click the ‘Submit’ button.
You can choose to download the entire dataset (default) or only the sites that you currently have selected on your map by using the radio buttons located right above the layer names.
Downloading Selected Sites
To go about downloading a specific set of sites as either a Shape, Access or Excel file, you can first start off by making the selection of sites you would like by using either the Search Panel or the Selection tool. Once you have your sites selected, going to the Data Transfer tool and viewing any of the download options you should see an option at the top to choose between “Entire Layer” or “Map Selected”.
Choosing the “Map Selected” option then clicking on the layer you have selected will download the file of your choice of the sites you had selected on the map.

The resulting downloads will include all attributes in the system and will show the attribute’s Interface Name rather than the Display Name. If you would rather choose which attributes will be in the download and/or have the Display Name in the download, we recommend customizing the Data Grid and exporting the data through the Data Grid. |
Photo Review
The Photo Review is a quick method for viewing all of the uploaded photos in the system. After clicking on Photo Review in Data Transfer Utilities, you are presented a form where you can fill out some criteria. This can be used to filter the data down and only show photos belonging to the sites that match the chosen criteria.
If you want to see all of the photos in the system, just choose the data layer(s) in the 'Facilities' criteria box.
After specifying the criteria, click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the form. This will display the photos. See the next section for some of the functions you have access to on this screen.

Below explains what each button does:
Rotate Photo Left: Rotates selected photo 90 degrees to the left
Rotate Photo Right: Rotates selected photo 90 degrees to the right
Toggle Guest Access: Toggles whether or not a guest can view the selected photo
Download Photo: Downloads the selected Photo
Delete Photo: Deletes the selected Photo

Clear Selection: Clears your current selection
You can also click the ‘View Site’ button beneath each photo to view the site the photo is associated with.
In order to use these functions, you must have one or more photos selected.
To select a photo, click the check-box in the top right corner of the image. This will turn the box surrounding the photo green, indicating that it is selected.
Import/Update
TreeKeeper also allows you to import or update data. When you select ‘Import/Update’ you will be asked to select an external data source and then you will be prompted to select the file containing the data from a location on your device. To find out more about the Import/Update feature, please check out the following documentation: Import/Update Inventory with an Excel file
Rover Utilities
If there is an ongoing Rover collection in your system, you may see three additional features in Data Transfer Utilities. Those features (Create Subscriptions, Manage Subscriptions, and API Logs) are utilities to help with Rover. If you do not see these, that means Rover is not currently enabled on your TreeKeeper, which is expected as nearly all TreeKeeper systems are delivered with Rover turned off.
