Exporting Data through the Data Grid

As a result of a search or map selection, the Data Grid will be populated with the selected sites, giving you the ability to export the data in several different formats. To do this, click the menu icon MenuIcon.png in the top-right corner of the Data Grid. From there, a menu will drop down showing different exporting options. These options include exporting the data as a CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Within each file type, you also have options for what data and columns will be shown in the exported file:

Export all data as … - Will export all sites in the Data Grid and all attributes in data, regardless of which columns are showing in the Data Grid.

Export visible data as … - Will export all sites in the Data Grid but will only include the columns showing in the Data Grid.

Export selected data as … - Will export only the queued (check-marked) sites in the Data Grid and will only include the columns showing in the Data Grid.

Keep in mind that when using Export visible data as … or Export selected data as …, the columns present and the order of those columns in the export will reflect how the Data Grid is set up. Make sure you have the columns that you want to see in the export present and in the desired order in your Data Grid. Don’t forget to Save Grid Layout!

For more information on customizing your Data Grid, see Data Table Column Management.

If you would like the data in Shapefile or Access format, download the data through the Data Transfer tool and ensure the ‘Map Selected’ radio button is chosen.
