Observe Tab

TreeKeeper® Canopy’s Observe tab allows you to fully explore the results of a canopy study. Depending on the scope of the project and availability of GIS data layers, the application will report land cover percentages for many different sub geographies (such as parcels, neighborhoods, census tracts, parks, etc.) within the community or area of interest. This section will walk through the elements of the Observe tab and provide an example of how to use the tools.

Using the drop down list in the Content Panel, select the Layer that you wish to view in the Map Frame.

Once you have selected the layer, you will see that layer drawn in the Map Frame. From here, you can use the mouse to click on any feature on the map.

When clicking on a polygon, a pop up window will appear with data attributes. These are summaries provided by the land cover analysis. All layers will have similar information regarding size of polygon, tree and impervious cover estimates, change percentages, and other demographic and tree benefits information.
