Why can't I see a certain layer in my layer list?

If a user doesn’t have access to a layer that they should have access to, such as a data layer, follow the steps detailed below:

The steps demonstrated below are only available to Admin-level users. If you are an Edit-level or Read Only user and think you should have access to a specific layer, please contact an Admin in your TreeKeeper system to do this for you.

Providing Access to a Layer

Giving a user access to a data layer can be done by changing their Layer Access Rights through User Management.

Navigate to Admin Center > User Management.

In User Management, use the Edit User button located in the Actions column of the user you wish to change the layer access rights for.

In the Edit User form, you will see Layer Access Rights just below Security Level. Find the layer(s) you want that user to see and make sure the Access Rights are set to:

  • Read Only, if you want the user to only view the layer

  • Edit, if you want the user to be able to add/edit/delete sites on that layer.
