Work Record Comments

Overview

Comments are often added to work records as a way to communicate specific details of a work record to another User, Contractor, or Guest groups. When a work record is created or edited, the user making the work record can add a comment, set which group they would like to share the comments with, and select a comment tag to label and classify the comment in TreeKeeper.

Comment Visibility

These two checkmark boxes are for who you want to be able to see the comment, one for guests and one for contractors and enabling either field will allow that group to be able to view the comment on the work record.

The Guest account must first be given rights to be able to view work records first before being able to see work record comments shared with them.

Comment Tags

Comment tags are used to label and classify work record comments. All Treekeeper systems come with the Post-Work comment tag. If you wish to add more of these comment tags, you can do so in the Comment Tags Management section of the Administration Center.

Comment Removal

If you are an Administrator in TreeKeeper, then you have the ability to not only delete comments, but also view & restore previously deleted comments. An edit-level user, on the other hand, only has the power to delete comments they made. They cannot restore them after they delete them.
