Map Navigation

Map View

One of TreeKeeper’s core features is the integrated map. From this view, you have a visual representation of all sites, as well as any additional shapefiles, aerials, or externally served layers that can be toggled individually. From here you can pan around the map and zoom into various sites or locations for a closer look. For more information about different types of layers, please check here: Layers.

To zoom, you can use the + and – buttons in the top right corner of the map, scroll wheel, or pinch-to-zoom (on mobile devices).

Map Tools

The side toolbar of TreeKeeper contains a variety of tools to help navigate, report, and manage your TreeKeeper system and inventory. The first tool, Map Tools, deals specifically with selecting, navigating, measuring, and adding sites to the map.

The Map Tool that is active by default is the Info Tool which allows you to pan around the map and identify sites.
